Feis an Eilein or the Skye Festival stopped being a two-week July Festival in  2009.

We diverted the enthusiasm and fun into a series of weekly 'Fèis en Eilein Summer Concerts'. These are part of the annual programme of events promoted by SEALL

Fèis an Eilein ~ Awarded 'Best Event in Highland 2007

"I just wanted to say  a big WELL DONE to you and all of the team for a simply fantastic Fèis 2009. Its been a long summer but we have both hugely enjoyed the events that we have attended and wanted to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for a great season. Blazin Fiddles was a fitting climax, it was a really good night and probably sums up the variety that is the Fèis....

I'm sure many of the visitors to the various concerts have no idea how much work is put in to promote a series of shows in south Skye, work that is a year in planning and work that takes 10 weeks to fulfil. It has proved beyond doubt that stretching the Feis in the way that you have done this summer has proved to be a fantastic decision and now that its all over you can justifiably take time out to look  back and indulge yourselves by saying' That was a good Festival'.  Enjoy the rest, planning will start again soon and we all look forward to the new concerts for 2010 and onwards. Many congratulations to you. You deserve much appreciation from many people and once again well done for a great great season."
